...what makes for a perfect day?
...is it the company you keep,
the weather,
the activities?
...is it your state of mind?
...is it any of these things,
or a combination of them all?
...for me there's a fair chance that a perfect day
involves a long walk,
somewhere with views,
the bush,
the hills...
...the power of nature
to reset the brain,
to give you the space to think clearly about things,
to make plans and sort problems,
to daydream,
to indulge in blissful "me" time...
...this is where my travels took me today...
Cable Bay, Nelson!
...but,
for it to be a totally perfect day
there has to be stitching...
...little projects,
a few stitches,
linen, lace and buttons...
...so I indulged in both today,
and boy am I feeling good!
...the icing on the cake
is this view that I am literally looking at right now
as I write this blog...
...I think I might be the luckiest person
in the world right now!
...i really really hope

Dear Jen, the walk, the views and the beautiful embroidery simple and perfect.
Unfortunately I can no longer walk like you anymore due to a dropped foot but I am learning new skills with my sewing and embroidery. I am so pleased with my purchase of linen and threads which arrived yesterday, thank you for sharing your lovely work so inspiring and delicate.
