...so here's to the start
of a new adventure...
...those of you who know me,
who follow me,
you know that I am passionate about stitching
(amongst other things
such as chocolate,
and going on lovely long hikes in the mountains,
or walks along the beach!)...
...for some time I have been toying with the idea
of setting up a little website to stock the things
that I love to use,
the things that make stitching such a joy...
...over the next few months I'll be loading it up
with beautiful fabrics and threads,
maybe some buttons and lace...
...new patterns...
I've got so many ideas to get down on paper,
and with the help of a tech savvy son,
am converting them to digital patterns...
......you often hear people talk about their happy place,
well,
stitching truly is mine...
...it's my go to place for relaxation and joy,
my place to create memories and treasures,
it really is my happy place...
...but it's also a place that I find comfort
when life gets a little overwhelming,
and lets face it,
we all have those times when there is too much
stress and pressure,
a little too much sadness,
uncertainties and doubts,
and even too much anger...
...the simple act of picking up a needle,
a beautiful thread and piece of linen,
and making a few simple stitches,
this takes my mind off the pressures,
it gives me joy,
and for that I am eternally grateful,
for that I feel so lucky to have a creative
happy space.
...those are the musings of a single thread
for this month...
words of wisdom I think not,
but for what it's worth it works for me...
...if I can inspire just one person to stitch a few simple stitches
with a beautiful thread
then I am happy...
